Volunteer Opportunities at C.A.T.S.
C.A.T.S. provides a safe haven and socialization as well as proper nutrition and a clean environment while the animals await adoptive homes. Our volunteers speak with the public, interview prospective adopters, and provide education concerning the care of pets on such subjects as spaying/neutering, introducing a new pet into the family, addressing behavioral issues, proper daily care and well-cat/kitten care.
Each year C.A.T.S. is faced with the impossible and each and every day we recommit ourselves to something we truly believe in, the mission we adopted at our inception, to save the lives of area cats and kittens through rescue, foster, trap-neuter-return, and to place them in caring, lifelong homes.
Foster Care
Learn how you can be a foster parent and save a life
Our foster care program provides temporary safe and loving homes to kittens and cats until they can return to our center and be adopted by their new family.
Fostering is a very rewarding experience. Participating in the transformation of an animal who gains confidence with the love and care they receive is worth the price. Please consider becoming a foster to allow our animals time to recover, rehabilitate and rehome. Contact us for more information.
Buddy Up Program
If you could give just ONE hour of your time each week and know that you would be helping a homeless cat or kitten get a home, would you help? C.A.T.S. introduces our “BUDDY-UP” Program. We’re asking you to come to Mew To You for one hour weekly and spend quality time with one cat, we’ll help you choose. A shy cat like “Mixer” who just needs someone to put her on their lap, brush her, play with a toy, and help her gain the confidence she needs to make someone looking for a cat want to take her home! Or maybe cats like “Amaris” or “Sassy” who crave attention and there just aren’t enough hours in the day or hands here to give them special time. Please call or stop by and sign up for “BUDDY-UP” and help a cat along the way to his or her furrever home…..come on, it’s only ONE HOUR!
Good Morning Kitties
Help our adorable cats and kittens with the morning cleaning of the adoption room, laundry and dishes.
Room Monitors
Volunteer to be a room monitor, help assist visitors and assure the safety of our cats and kittens.
Limo Duty
Drive our adorable cats and kittens to the veterinarian. Pick up cats and kittens from surrounding area shelters in danger of being euthanized. We supply the carrier.
Mew To You Retail Staff
Help with sales and merchandising in our retail Thrift Store.
Spa Day
Everyone enjoys a spa day! Help pamper, brush, clean and keep our sweet kitties clean.
Social Media
Technical, digital communications or social media skills are always appreciated.
